Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor's book, Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good, has hit the New York Times bestseller list. You can see the list here; Seven Deadly Sins is at #26, right between former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger's On China and...Shit My Dad Says. Anyway, this made us think that other Roadrunner artists probably have stories to tell, and philosophies of life, that readers would enjoy.

Watch Trivium Play "Down From The Sky" Live In-Studio!

 
As you probably know by now, the deluxe edition of Trivium's new album In Waves (in stores August 9) comes with five bonus tracks and a very special DVD, including the video for the song "In Waves," a documentary about the making of the album, and footage of the band performing eight songs - some new, some old - in a warehouse studio, with no one around but the camera crew. Noize TV has posted one of those live songs today; it's "Down from the Sky," from Shogun, and you can check it out at this link. Trivium are on the road all summer as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour, and they're conducting exclusive meet & greets for fans at the Roadrunner Records tent.

The online music-streaming service Spotify recently launched in the US, and while it's presently invite-only, it's pretty easy to get signed up if you want to - and you should. There are three tiers: you can listen to music for free, with commercial interruptions every two or three songs; you can pay $5 a month and hear no commercials; or you can pay $10 a month and get commercial-free music that you can also stream to your phone or iPod.
